Apple to sell “Year of the Snake” special edition for AirPods 4 in just four countries
The special edition announced by Apple will initially be available only in China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Unfortunately, the new version is not expected to expand outside of Asia, although expansion to other Asian countries is possible. Apple’s acclaimed AirPods 4 were launched last September and are available in two different versions:
- The basic model: Offers improved sound quality and support for Spatial Audio.
- Model with ANC support: Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) reduces environmental noise and Transparency Mode keeps users connected to their surroundings.
Both models feature Apple’s new H2 chip, meaning superior sound quality and better performance than previous generations. The special editions are no different in terms of features.
What Apple is really trying to do with this special edition is to fit in with the brand’s regional celebrations and to cement its position in Asian countries. The company plans to increase its influence in the Asian market with such special designs.
