TestFlight, Apple’s platform allowing developers to distribute beta versions of their apps before public release, is receiving a major update. With this new version, TestFlight introduces new filtering and measurement tools, along with a redesigned invitation system. Here’s what’s new…
What’s New in Apple’s TestFlight Platform?
With the new filtering features, developers can better define test groups targeted to specific audiences, focus on particular device types or operating system versions, and even set a maximum number of testers per group.
Additionally, developers can measure the success of their beta releases by seeing how many people viewed and joined the invitation and by accessing feedback from those who didn’t join to understand why. They can also view how many potential testers did not meet the set criteria.
The update also brings significant changes to the invitations for test users. Now, developers can provide more detailed information about the app, highlight upcoming features and content, and even include screenshots alongside the app category for apps already approved for the App Store. This brings the platform experience closer to the App Store itself.
