Apple has kept its promise and released the Vision Pro to international markets. As of June 27, the Apple Vision Pro is not only available in the US but also in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail, Deirdre O’Brien, made the announcement at the Apple Store in Beijing. However, the question remains: when will it be available in Turkey?
Apple Vision Pro launched globally
Announced at the WWDC 2024 event, the expansion of the Vision Pro to international markets was anticipated. Pre-orders for the Vision Pro started on June 27 in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, with official launches set for July 12. Unfortunately, there are no current plans to release the Vision Pro in Turkey.
The Vision Pro is an experimental product from Apple, aimed more at creating and exploring a new market than achieving high sales figures. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that due to its high price and limited application support, demand might be low internationally.
The device’s weight and heat issues could negatively impact comfort, especially during prolonged use in the summer months. Apple plans to release a more affordable and lighter version of the Vision Pro, which will operate by connecting to an iPhone rather than being a standalone device, thus appealing to a broader audience.
With the international launch of the Vision Pro and the upcoming release of visionOS2 this fall, it will be interesting to see how this new device performs in the global market.
