Apple has introduced the Vision Pro M5 chip, taking the spatial computing experience to the next level. The new M5 chip delivers faster performance compared to its predecessor. It also offers improved screen display and extended battery life. User comfort has also been significantly improved thanks to the included Dual Knit Band. This upgrade combines with the innovative features of VisionOS 26, making the Vision Pro even more powerful and impressive.

A Huge Leap in Performance with the Vision Pro M5 Chip

The M5 provides a faster, smoother, and more responsive experience for Apple Vision Pro users. Built on third-generation 3-nanometer technology, this chip features an advanced 10-core CPU and delivers higher multi-threading performance. As a result, apps and widgets load faster and web browsing becomes smoother. The next-generation 10-core GPU architecture supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing, allowing developers to add stunning detail to light, shadow, and reflections in games.

Thanks to the M5 chip, the Vision Pro processes ten percent more pixels on custom micro-OLED displays than the previous generation. This results in sharper images and clearer text. The device also works in conjunction with the R1 chip to process sensor data in 12 milliseconds, creating a real-time view of the world. The 16-core Neural Engine accelerates AI-powered features by up to fifty percent. This acceleration powers system experiences like photo transformation and Persona capture.

The new Dual Knit Band provides users with a more comfortable fit. The band features a single, 3D-knit upper and lower straps. This unique dual-ribbed structure provides cushioning, breathability, and flexibility. Tungsten inserts on the lower strap provide counterweights for balance and stability. Users can fine-tune and find their ideal fit using the intuitive dual-function Fit Dial. The band is also compatible with the previous Vision Pro model.

VisionOS 26 brings a range of powerful spatial experiences to Apple Vision Pro. Widgets seamlessly integrate into the user’s space and reappear when the device is plugged in. Furthermore, striking improvements to Persona make communication more natural in apps like FaceTime. Users can now watch 180- and 360-degree videos from action cameras. They can also enjoy new series and movies in Apple Immersive. The Vision Pro app comes to iPad with iPadOS 26.1, making it easier to discover new content.

The Apple Vision Pro starts at $3,499 for the 256GB model and is also available in 512GB and 1TB options.
