Competition in the AR/VR market has heated up recently. With Apple’s launch of the Vision Pro model in recent weeks, the focus has shifted. However, Huawei seems to attract this focus to itself. So much so that it was revealed that the company is developing a Vision Pro rival virtual reality glasses.
Is Huawei Vision Pro coming?
Li Nan, the marketing manager of Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu, claimed that Huawei is working on its own virtual reality glasses with a post on microblogging platform Weibo. According to the information conveyed by Nan, this device will be called “Huawei Vision Pro”. In other words, it will come up with a similar name to Apple’s device.
It is said that the glasses, which will have Huawei’s self-developed chipset at its heart, will offer a performance that will provide zero latency in terms of spatial visualization. However, there is information that it will have a 4K micro OLED display produced by Sony. It should be noted that this screen is also used in Apple Vision Pro.
Huawei’s VR glasses are also said to stand out in terms of weight. It was claimed to weigh 350 grams. Apple Vision Pro was more or less 600 grams. Finally, it is claimed that the device in question will be priced around 15 thousand yuan. This corresponds to 2 thousand 100 dollars. The starting price of Vision Pro is 3 thousand 500 dollars.
We said that Huawei’s virtual reality glasses will appear under the name Vision Pro. It is stated that the company has a trademark in China. Accordingly, Apple may need to change the name of Vision Pro in China.
