Apple is preparing to revolutionize the smartwatch industry with the Watch Ultra 3, which it plans to launch next year. According to leaks, the next-generation Ultra will offer important connectivity and health-focused features.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 may offer satellite connectivity
One of the most important features expected will be the integration of satellite communication technology using Globstar Inc.’s network. This will allow users to send SMS even outside of cellular coverage, similar to what is currently offered on the iPhone 16. This could be vital for people in remote areas or emergency situations.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is also rumored to have advanced health tracking capabilities. Allegations point to the addition of a blood pressure monitoring system that will alert users to the risks of hypertension, similar to sleep apnea detection.
Another change will reportedly be the switch from Intel to MediaTek cellular modems. Adopting MediaTek technology will allow the Ultra 3 to use the more affordable 5G Redcap standard. This move will allow the device to reach a wider audience at a lower price.
We saw this color option before last year’s event for Watch Ultra 2 and expected it to come with the event. However, after the statements not made by Apple, such claims may upset users. Announcing a new color only for Watch Ultra 2 seems to be unpleasant for Apple if the feature is not added.
