When will April 2024’s PS Plus Extra games and Premium classics launch?
According to lists uncovered by PS Deals, Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire will launch on Tuesday, April 16 for both PS4 and PS5. That’s when the full PS Plus Extra and Premium games of the month will be announced.
Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire was developed by LucasArts. The PS1 version was developed by Factor 5, which shut down in 2009 after 22 years in business. Factor 5’s last game was Lair, which coincidentally was a PS3 exclusive. Factor 5 faced a series of game cancelations before shutting down, several of which were in development exclusively for the PS3. In 2016, a prototype of the canceled multiplatform Superman game also surfaced.
Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire was a commercial success despite mixed reviews. The game was noted for its playability and commitment to the Star Wars universe and gained a large fan base. So it’s good news that this classic game will be available for PS Plus members in April 2024.
