The highly anticipated ARC Raiders skill reset feature was added to the game with the Cold Snap update. This new feature, offering players the flexibility to change their character builds, has sparked considerable debate within the community due to its high cost.
Details of the ARC Raiders Skill Reset System
With the new update, players can access the skill screen via the Raider menu and reset all skill trees in a single operation. This feature offers a significant solution, especially for players whose builds have become ineffective after past balance updates. However, this flexibility comes at a serious cost.

According to the system, players need to pay 2,000 credits to get back each skill point spent. Considering the maximum achievable skill point level in the game is 75, the total cost of a full reset reaches 150,000 credits. While this figure may be affordable for players who dedicate significant time to the game, it poses a major obstacle for more casual players.
The timing of this feature is quite significant. In the previous update, developer Embark Studios significantly weakened one of the game’s most popular abilities, “Security Breach.” This change left many players with ineffective character builds, making an ability reset a necessity.
The high cost may be intended to prevent players from constantly switching between the strongest (meta) builds. However, the general consensus within the community is that the price is excessive. Whether the development team will reconsider these costs in the future remains to be seen. For now, players have the chance to get rid of buggy or weakened ability trees, but they have to empty their pockets.
