Even blast-resistant: Nokia announces its new armored phones!
Once a major player in the smartphone market but struggling to keep up with innovation and survive today, Nokia recently announced two new models. Developed to withstand industrial challenges, these models have garnered significant attention.
Armored Nokia HHRA501x and IS540.1 specs
These models, named Nokia HHRA501x and Nokia IS540.1, were developed for use in mining, oil, gas, chemical industries, and explosive risk areas. To manufacture these phones, which have undergone rigorous testing processes, a partnership was formed with the German company i.safe MOBILE Gmbh.
Both smartphones share the same technical specifications. They feature a 6-inch screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3 produced by Corning. Additionally, they are powered by the Qualcomm QCM6490 processor, offering the same performance as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778.
Nokia may take a back seat as HMD launches its own brand
Nokia HHRA501x and Nokia IS540.1 models come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. They have a 48-megapixel main camera on the back of the device, while the front has a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
These smartphones are powered by a removable 4,400 mAh battery and are durable against water and dust. They also offer dual SIM slots, eSIM support, and 5G connectivity. The price tags and release dates for Nokia HHRA501x and IS540.1 models have not been disclosed.
