Gemini will not comment on elections

In 2024, elections will be held in many countries. The number of people consulting Gemini’s artificial intelligence regarding the outcome of elections is quite high. Google, realizing that this situation has caused more sensation than expected, has made a decision.

This year, there are important elections in countries like the United States and India. Instead of providing an answer to questions about these elections, Gemini directs users to Google Search by saying “it is impossible to predict.” However, there are quite a few people within Google who are against this censorship.

There is a significant portion within the company that disagrees with the decision, considering it as being cautious. A Google spokesperson defended that the decision was incorrect by saying, “We are being cautious and making a mistake.” Thus, the known first censorship of artificial intelligence came from the political arena.
