    During the TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan event, ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol announced a significant strategic pivot, revealing that the company is expanding its domestic infrastructure for quantum and chip manufacturing. By integrating design, prototyping, and mass production within a unified ecosystem, ASELSAN aims to achieve technological autonomy in critical defense sectors. These investments span across quantum computing, semiconductors, satellite systems, and underwater technologies, effectively reducing reliance on foreign supply chains for highly sensitive defense components.

    Military Chip Production is Being Expanded

    ASELSAN has successfully transitioned its military chip production to a full-cycle model, covering both design and manufacturing. This capability is vital for the development of radar, electronic warfare, and communication systems. By keeping the manufacturing process within national borders, the company effectively mitigates risks associated with global supply chain disruptions for critical electronic components.

    Mass Production for LEO Satellites is Being Initiated

    The company is currently scaling up its efforts in the space sector by establishing new facilities for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations. Unlike previous projects that focused on single satellites, these new plants are designed for high-volume production. This shift enables the deployment of satellite swarms that provide superior coverage for reconnaissance, surveillance, and communication missions.

    Seri Production of Detectors is Being Commenced

    Following the successful creation of prototypes, ASELSAN is moving toward the mass production of cooled and uncooled detectors. These components serve as the backbone for various thermal imaging and electro-optic sensing systems used by the Turkish Armed Forces.

    The transition from prototype to mass production ensures that critical thermal detection needs are met through local manufacturing.

    Underwater Technology Capabilities are Being Enhanced

    The focus on maritime security remains a priority, with ASELSAN investing roughly 60 million euros into three new facilities and two testing devices. These investments support the development of next-generation fiber-optic sonar systems and advanced torpedo technology. A new testing center is also under construction in Gölcük to evaluate radar and underwater acoustic performance.

    By broadening its manufacturing scope to include these core technologies, ASELSAN is transforming from a traditional systems integrator into a comprehensive technology powerhouse. This holistic approach ensures that the fundamental building blocks of modern defense are crafted domestically.
