ASELSAN, a leading company in the Turkish defense industry, has unveiled its next-generation air defense system, the KORKUT 100/25, also known as the “drone hunter.” The system was launched at the DSEI 2025 trade fair in England. The KORKUT 100/25 was displayed integrated into the Ejder Yalçın 4×4 tactical wheeled armored vehicle manufactured by Nurol Makina.

The widespread use of mini and micro-sized unmanned aerial vehicles in recent conflicts has necessitated the development of new solutions to counter these threats. The KORKUT 100/25 was designed as a response to these threats and has joined Turkey’s drone hunters. The system can be integrated into 4×4, 6×6, or 8×8 wheeled or tracked vehicles.

The KORKUT 100/25 uses 25 mm ATOM Smart Munitions. It performs physical destruction against drones by receiving information from onboard sensors. The system features features such as remote control, a high-resolution infrared camera, a laser rangefinder, automatic target detection and tracking, and advanced automatic ballistic calculation with high fire accuracy.
ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol stated that while there are equivalent versions of Korkut, which use 35-millimeter ammunition, the new version is unique. KORKUT 100/25 is equipped with advanced radars, optical systems designed by ASELSAN, and laser rangefinders for precise positioning.
This new system will be a member of Turkey’s layered air defense system, “Steel Dome.” It is planned to communicate with other products in the system to counter imminent threats.
