Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a return to the franchise’s roots, has broken sales records. According to the company, Mirage is the best-selling title on next-gen consoles (Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5) compared to the day of release.

While exact figures have not been released, Ubisoft said Mirage sales on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 were better than any other AC game on the platforms. Player numbers across all platforms exceed previous titles like Origins and Odyssey.
For those who don’t know, Mirage is set in the 9th century and Baghdad. The stealth and parkour-oriented game promises to return to the roots of the series. Emphasizing the “roots of the series”, Ubisoft seems to have attracted AC fans in just 6 days.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launched on October 5th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. A special edition for iPhone 15 Pro is also expected to be released in early 2024.
