The ROG Ally claims to be the most powerful portable gaming console on the market. It features a 1920×1080 (FHD) display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, in contrast to the 1280×800 (HD+) and 60 Hz refresh rate of the Steam Deck. Additionally, Asus claims to have used the world’s most powerful APU in this device, likely a 7th generation Ryzen chip, though details on the chip are not yet available.
The design of the ROG Ally also offers improvements, with a smaller and thinner form factor than the Steam Deck, despite having the same 7-inch screen size.
