ASUS ROG Equalizer 16-Pin Cable Lowers RTX 5090 Temperatures

The ASUS ROG Equalizer 16-pin cable is drawing significant attention in RTX 5090 tests by offering 10 degrees lower temperatures and more stable voltage values.

The new ROG Equalizer 16-pin cable released by ASUS has revealed impressive performance results in user-conducted RTX 5090 tests. A technical test performed by a user on the Chiphell forums proves that the cable both improves thermal values and minimizes voltage drops. During trials conducted under heavy loads like Furmark on a Gigabyte RTX 5090D AORUS Master Ice graphics card, significant gains were observed compared to a standard cable.

This technological development is considered an important step toward increasing the connection security of high-power-consuming next-generation GPUs.

    • The ROG Equalizer cable reduces operating temperatures by approximately 10 degrees compared to standard cables.

    • In tests, voltage fluctuation was reduced to between 0.005V and 0.04V, ensuring stable energy transmission.

    • ASUS plans to bundle this cable with specific ROG power supplies.

    • The new cable design eliminates overheating risks by distributing power transmission balanced across all pins.

ROG Equalizer Cable Stands Out with Performance Data

In the conducted tests, the GPU temperature, which reached 59.8 degrees under a standard 16-pin cable, dropped to 50.7 degrees with the ROG Equalizer cable. This nearly 10-degree difference clearly demonstrates the cable’s efficiency and success in thermal management.

Additionally, a serious improvement was recorded regarding voltage drops. While standard cables cause a voltage difference between 0.08V and 0.14V, ASUS’s new solution managed to bring this difference below the 0.04V level.

Cable Arrives with New Power Supply Models

ASUS will launch the ROG Equalizer cable alongside many high-performance power supplies, primarily the Thor Platinum III series. For existing ROG power supply owners, a special purchase program has been established. Expected to be offered with a price tag of approximately $15, this product aims to provide a cost-effective solution against melting issues at graphics card connection points. This design is expected to become an industry standard for future RTX series GPUs.
