The long-awaited news has arrived from a major collaboration that is taking the portable gaming market to a new level. Tech giants Microsoft and Asus have announced that their jointly developed ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handheld consoles are ready to launch in Turkey. Pre-order prices for these ambitious devices, which will hit shelves on October 16th, have also been officially announced. These next-generation consoles aim to disrupt the portable PC gaming landscape thanks to both their hardware power and deep integration with the Xbox ecosystem.
ROG Xbox Ally: Two Different Models, Two Different Gamer Profiles
Microsoft and Asus are entering the market with two distinct models to cater to the diverse expectations and budgets of gamers. Positioned as the standard model in the series and available in white, the ROG Xbox Ally stands out with its more affordable price tag. Announced with a pre-order price of 38,000 TL, this model focuses on providing a smooth and stable gaming experience at 720p resolution.

Powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z2 A processor, the device features 16GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM, a 512GB M.2 2280 SSD, and a 60Wh battery. This hardware package offers an ideal balance for those who want to enjoy the latest games in a portable form factor.
At the top of the lineup is the ROG Xbox Ally X, designed for performance enthusiasts, featuring a more muscular build in black. Announced with a price of ₺59,000, this beast targets top-tier performance at resolutions ranging from 900p to 1080p. Under the hood, the Ally X features AMD’s powerful AI-powered Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, along with 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD. This model, with its larger 80Wh battery, promises longer gaming sessions and is designed for gamers seeking uncompromising performance even in the most demanding games.
Both models maintain the ergonomic and stylish design language inherited from Asus’s previous ROG Ally series. At the heart of the devices is a 7-inch Full HD (1080p) display that invites gamers to a visual feast.
Thanks to a high 120Hz refresh rate and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, the display is incredibly smooth, without tearing or stuttering, even during fast-moving scenes. This premium display comes standard on both models, demonstrating the importance Asus and Microsoft place on visual quality.
One of the key features that distinguishes these devices from their competitors lies in the software. The ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X run a significantly simplified and gaming-focused version of Microsoft’s Windows 11.
But the real innovation lies in the new Xbox interface, custom-designed by Microsoft. This interface eliminates the complexity of a handheld and offers a console-like, user-friendly experience.
The dedicated “Xbox PC” app on the devices brings together players’ libraries from different stores under one roof. This allows you to easily access and launch all the games you’ve purchased from Steam, the Epic Games Store, or other platforms from a single location. This integration stands out as the most concrete step in Microsoft’s strategy to bring the Xbox ecosystem to the portable world.
