Sony today announced Backbone One – PlayStation Edition, made exclusively for the iPhone. The PlayStation Edition version, built on the mobile controller Backbone One, is directly compatible with iPhone phone models. The device is currently on sale. The product turns iPhone into a portable game console.

The Backbone One PlayStation Edition is available from the Backbone website for 100 dollars. On the bottom of the Backbone One – PlayStation Edition, you will find a Lightning port passthrough and a headphone jack for connecting a pair of wired headphones to your iPhone.
Backbone One — PlayStation Edition weighs 4.87 ounces. It’s got a 3.5mm headphone jack, pass-through charging, and draws “minimal power” directly from your iPhone, meaning it does not need to be separately charged before you start playing.
Like the standard model, it comes with a one-year free trial to Backbone+, which in turn comes with free trials to Discord Nitro, Stadia Pro, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. An Android version of the controller will launch in the fall.
In addition to playing PlayStation games with PlayStation Remote Play, regular mobile games can also be played with the product. Sony has been doing great work on mobile gaming lately. According to the official statement made by Sony, PlayStation VR2 will host more than 20 major games when it first launches.
