PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription systems have gained significant popularity with their extensive content library, but every month, some games are removed from the catalog. In January 2025, several notable games, including Capcom’s iconic Resident Evil 2 Remake, will be leaving the list. This is likely to upset players who don’t want to lose access to their favorite games.
PlayStation Plus to lose a lot of good games
Sony announced that games in the ‘Last Chance’ category will be removed from the PlayStation Plus catalog at the end of January. Subscribers who still have access to these games should hurry to play them.

- Dragon Ball FighterZ (PS4/PS5)
- Life is Strange: Before the Storm (PS4)
- Life is Strange (PS4)
- Pure Hold’em World Poker Championship (PS4)
After these games are removed, the PlayStation Plus catalog will continue to be updated with new releases. However, players who don’t want to miss out on major titles like Resident Evil 2 Remake should take this opportunity to play them. Once a game is removed from the Plus catalog, it rarely returns for a long time.
For now, we have new information about Android 16, which is only available in developer versions and will be released next year.
