Bad news from Xiaomi: Update support for a model has ended!

Xiaomi is one of the most active companies when it comes to updates. The brand has an extensive product range, and we occasionally witness certain models losing software support. This is because the hardware of such devices becomes outdated, making it difficult to run newer versions. Most recently, the Chinese manufacturer has ended software support for yet another model.

Xiaomi Discontinues Software Support for Redmi Note 10 Lite

Phones added to Xiaomi’s EOL (End of Life) list will no longer receive Android or security updates. However, the company does not entirely abandon these devices. In case of a critical security vulnerability, Xiaomi may release updates for such devices, even if they are outside the scope of regular support. Recently, the Redmi Note 10 Lite joined the list of models that no longer receive software support.

Xiaomi generally provides software support for its phones for three to four years. After this period, the models that exit the support scope are announced on the company’s official website under the EOL list. Unless a critical issue arises, devices added to this list no longer receive Android, HyperOS, or security updates.
