Battlefield 6 is experiencing record interest ahead of its official release date on October 10th. The game has gained significant momentum just one week before its release. According to the latest report from Ampere Analysis, the game has already reached 1.7 million pre-orders on Steam. The same report predicts that Battlefield 6 could sell a total of 5 million copies in the first week after its release.
Battlefield 6 Sets New Record
The key factor behind this success was the extensive multiplayer beta held in recent months. According to data provided by Newzoo, 25 million players participated in this beta. Ampere Analysis’s calculation puts the number of participants at approximately 22 million. Both sources reveal significantly higher player interest compared to previous games in the series.

Another record-breaking statistic recorded during the beta was the number of concurrent players. Newzoo reported that 10.4 million people were simultaneously playing the game across all platforms during the beta test. This figure is exactly double the 5.1 million units sold by the previous game in the series, Battlefield 2042, during its beta phase.
In the long-rumored competition of the FPS genre, Call of Duty is expected to outsell players this year. However, the high interest in Battlefield 6 suggests the series is on the rise again. EA made direct references to the Call of Duty series in its recent live-action trailer.
The Battlefield series couldn’t replicate the success it achieved with Battlefield 3 and 4 with Battlefield 5 and 2042. However, the beta performance, which attracted over 25 million players, provides a strong indication that the game will return to the top of the series before its release.
