Following EA and Battlefield Studios’ announcement that they are aware of player requests, new developments are taking place regarding the Battlefield 6 series. The companies previously stated that players have long been requesting features such as naval combat, the return of the Little Bird helicopter, and platoons.
Naval combat is coming to Battlefield 6
According to a new report, naval combat is being actively developed in Battlefield 6, and the feature is being prepared to be integrated into the game’s multiplayer. This development suggests that the series will return to the popular style of Battlefield 3 and 4.

The obtained files contain clear references to two different naval vessels from the game. These files include references to jet skis and inflatable boats. The file names directly refer to Battlefield 6, and the file paths emphasize MP (multiplayer).
The data reported indicates that these files indicate the inclusion of full-fledged naval combat in the game. The Battlefield series, particularly in the Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 eras, was distinguished by its large-scale combat mechanics, which balanced naval, land, and air elements.
However, the last game in the series, Battlefield 2042, faced criticism from players for deviating from this formula. A new report suggests that Battlefield 6 reverses this error, revisits the series’ roots, and aims to bring players back the classic, large-scale Battlefield experience.
EA and Battlefield Studios made clear in recent weeks that they had “heard” player feedback and that the new game would address a significant portion of this demand.
