Microsoft is expanding its AI-powered Bing Chat feature beyond Microsoft Edge. After testing the new Bing on Google Chrome and Safari a while back, the company has finally made Bing Chat available for Google Chrome. You can now use the new Bing on Chrome.
How to use Bing Chat in Google Chrome?
Until now, Bing’s ChatGPT-powered chatbot was only available through Microsoft’s own Edge browser. The AI tool allows users to chat with Bing, ask questions, and get detailed answers on a variety of topics.
Chrome, by far the most popular web browser on the Internet, will now support the new Bing. This means that when you visit Bing.com through Chrome, you can take advantage of Bing Chat. However, there are some limitations compared to Edge.
In Chrome, a single Bing Chat session is limited to 5 messages. In Edge, this number goes up to 30. Note, however, that this is reset when you log out and open a new chat. Also, the number of characters per message is limited to 4,000 in Edge and 2,000 in Chrome.
You can go to bing.com, click on the chat icon, and get help from GPT-4-enabled Bing for anything you can think of.
On the other hand, it’s worth noting that dark mode has also been introduced for Bing Chat. Dark mode, which is available on almost all popular websites and applications, is now available for Bing Chat. For now, you can only use the new look in Microsoft Edge.
