Black Ops 7 campaign goes fully co-op
Set in the year 2035, Black Ops 7 throws players into a world reeling from the aftermath of Black Ops 2 and 6. Raul Menendez is back on the global stage, broadcasting a dark warning, while a powerful tech conglomerate called The Guild promises to keep order.
You play as David “Section” Mason, leading the elite Specter One JSOC squad on a mission to Avalon, a Mediterranean city hiding a weapon that turns fear into war. As the team digs deeper, they begin to lose their grip on reality, slipping into psychological warfare shaped by fractured memories and personal trauma.
You can play the campaign solo or with up to three others in drop-in co-op. Each mission twists perception and memory into surreal battlefield challenges, blurring the line between combat and madness.
World of Warcraft Midnight Prey system brings ambushes, duels, and rewards to make open-world play more challenging.
Familiar faces return, but nothing is the same
Alongside Mason, the campaign features Mike Harper, Eric Samuels, and Leilani “50/50” Tupuola. You’ll also meet Guild CEO Emma Kagan and operatives like Slade “Razor” Barrick, whose Specter Two team supports the broader mission.
The story connects key characters from across Black Ops history, but it’s built for new players, too. Whether you’re steeped in the lore or coming in cold, the game delivers a standalone narrative steeped in paranoia and choice.
Multiplayer in Black Ops 7 is built to rip
Fast movement, near-future gear, and 16 maps at launch? That’s the core of the Black Ops 7 multiplayer reveal. Featuring reworked tactical sprint, Omnimovement upgrades, and customizable loadouts, the game lets you fine-tune speed, stealth, or raw power.
Multiplayer introduces hybrid combat perks, real-time equipment overclocking, and massive map options for chaotic team fights. Whether you play quick or methodical, there’s space to adapt.
Zombies returns to its roots, then mutates
Round-based Zombies is back in Black Ops 7, and it’s taking no prisoners. Expect familiar faces from across the series, all caught in a warped Dark Aether dimension. The game brings Survival back in full force alongside Dead Ops Arcade 4, a brutal new twist on the series’ top-down mode.
The undead are just as twisted as the timeline, and you’ll need more than muscle to make it out.
Progression across modes and time
All three core modes, campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies feed into one global progression system. That includes weapon build sharing, classic Prestige with a new spin, and deep camo grinds. Weekly challenges, Weapon Prestige, and user interface updates round it out.
Treyarch and Raven are also improving Windows performance, shader delivery, and accessibility. And yes, Black Ops 6 progression will carry forward.
