These rumours became certain with the statements of a name directly involved in the production process. Steven Ellison, who agreed with Marvel to prepare music for the film, shared important information about the project.
Ellison stated on his personal social media account that the Blade film has been cancelled. This statement was the first clear information about the future of the film after six years of uncertainty.
No new announcements have been made so far about whether Marvel has different plans for the Blade character. Although the possibility of Mahershala Ali appearing as Blade in another Marvel film technically continues, there is currently no official work or project in this direction.
