BMW will unveil its Neue Klasse platform and new design language, which will form the basis for all of the brand’s future electric vehicles. The first model in this transformation is the new iX3. Ahead of the iX3’s launch in Munich, BMW has shared the first official teaser image of the vehicle’s front fascia.
The BMW iX3 is coming soon
Two different Neue Klasse concepts previously hinted at this evolution. However, today, the first photo of the production version has surfaced. These images, published on BMW’s social media accounts, clearly demonstrate the aesthetic direction the brand will implement in its future models. The kidney grille remains at the center of the design.

However, the large designs we’ve seen in recent years have been replaced by a smaller, vertical, and minimalist form. This approach harks back to the first Neue Klasse model from 1962. The headlights, combined with the illuminated grille, create a natural flow to the front fascia.
The iX3 is more than just a visual change. This model showcases the potential of BMW’s Neue Klasse platform. This platform maximizes efficiency while maintaining BMW’s signature driving dynamics.
The next-generation electric SUV offers an 800V electrical architecture, up to 400 kW DC charging, and a range of up to 800 kilometers according to WLTP. The vehicle will be available with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. A more powerful M Sport version is also on the way.
The interior also features a significant overhaul. Along with a completely redesigned cabin, the production version features the Panoramic iDrive instrument cluster for the first time. With its two-layer layout, this system foreshadows BMW’s future interface approach.
