BMW is coming up with the new R 1300 GS Adventure model. We can say that this motorcycle is perfect for adventure and long-distance riding. BMW R 1300 GS Adventure introduced: Ambitious for adventure and long journeys
The new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure immediately attracts attention with its huge 30-liter fuel tank. On the top there are attachments for carrying luggage, a compartment for charging your smartphone and rubber trays on the sides where you can safely store your tools. There’s also a large windshield and two large transparent wind deflectors to protect you against wind and bad weather. The headlights are fully LED and there are additional LED headlights to light your way. In short, you won’t be left behind even on night rides.
This bike is equipped with a 1.3-liter twin-cylinder boxer engine. The engine produces a full 107 kW (145 horsepower) and has a torque of 149 Nm. With a kerb weight of 269 kg, the bike has an optimized steel chassis for greater rigidity. The rear frame is made of aluminum tubes and forgings. So, it’s both sturdy and lightweight.
The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is equipped with EVO Telelever front suspension and EVO Paralever rear suspension. Thanks to Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA), the riding dynamics are automatically adjusted according to the selected riding mode, riding conditions and maneuvers. The optional adaptive height control can lower the bike by 30 mm from a standstill and at low speeds. There is also a “comfort” version for shorter riders.
This model has four different riding modes: “Rain” and “Road” to adapt to most road conditions, “Eco” to maximize range and “Enduro” to work wonders off-road. With Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) as standard, your journeys will be more comfortable. There’s also a host of advanced safety features, including Active Cruise Control (ACC), forward collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning and rear collision warning (RECW).
The BMW Adventure comes with a 37-liter aluminum luggage box. In addition, new aluminum suitcases with a total capacity of more than 73 liters with optional volume expansions of 10 liters are available.
