Ahead of the IAA Mobility 2025 trade fair, BMW has unveiled a concept that will shake up the motorcycle and scooter worlds. The brand has unveiled its new electric scooter concept, the Vision CE. This concept breaks established rules regarding the riding experience and offers riders the freedom to travel without a helmet or special protective clothing.
BMW Announces Electric Scooter Concept
The Vision CE’s most striking feature is the cage structure that encloses the rider and its integrated safety systems. The front end, true to traditional scooter design, is complemented by square-shaped protective bars surrounding the rider.

This cage also houses slim LED headlights and additional lighting. Other elements that complete the design include customizable options such as a small windshield, a removable Bluetooth speaker, a transparent roof, and a rear luggage rack.
The concept offers its rider an unusual seating position. The rider sits in a custom seat equipped with a backrest, headrest, and seat belt. A metal grille above the headrest serves as an additional safety feature. Inside the cockpit, there’s a large digital display, traditional handlebars, prominent footpegs, and a covered charging port.
BMW confirmed that this new concept is fully electric. The Vision CE can maintain its own balance when stationary and remain upright. This feature offers significant convenience for drivers, especially in urban traffic.
With this approach, BMW aims to provide users with a more comfortable and safe driving experience. While its mass production status is still uncertain, the Vision CE presents a bold vision of the future of personal mobility vehicles.
