Fans of Borderlands have more than just a game to look forward to tomorrow. The Borderlands 4 Xbox controller, built by PowerA, officially launches September 12 alongside the game. With premium features and a striking design, it’s aiming to be more than just a collector’s item.

Priced at $99.99, PowerA’s special edition controller isn’t just for show. It comes equipped with Hall effect joysticks and triggers, which reduce wear and eliminate stick drift, something standard Xbox controllers still struggle with. It also includes three-way trigger stops, allowing players to shorten trigger travel for faster inputs, ideal for shooters and action-heavy titles.

You’ll also find four customizable back buttons, a feature typically found on pro-tier controllers, giving players more flexibility without taking their thumbs off the sticks.

Nothing Ear (3) revealed with sleek metal build and mysterious Talk button

    • Hall effect sticks and triggers (anti-drift)
    • 3-way trigger stops for adjustable inputs
    • Four mappable back buttons
    • Built-in headset dial + 3.5 mm audio jack
    • Up to 30 hours of battery life
    • Wireless connection via USB adapter
    • Compatible with Xbox Series X|S and PC

The design leans into Borderlands 4 visuals without going overboard. The front of the controller showcases a bold mural of The Timekeeper, the game’s new antagonist, while the grips feature the Psycho Bandit mask and the Borderlands logo. The color scheme mixes orange accents with deep blacks, giving it a gritty, post-apocalyptic vibe that matches the series.

PowerA has released similar themed controllers in the past, like those for Fortnite and Pac-Man, but the Borderlands 4 Xbox controller feels like its most premium effort to date.

While it costs more than Microsoft’s $64.99 standard pad, this controller targets players who want extra performance without going full-elite. Between anti-drift hardware, customizable inputs, and a solid 30-hour battery life, the Borderlands 4 Xbox controller isn’t just another limited-edition skin; it’s built to play hard.

    And it’s ready tomorrow.
