NVIDIA took its deep learning innovations one step further and introduced the Cosmos Deep Learning platform. This new platform offers businesses the opportunity to rapidly develop, train, and deploy AI and deep learning models. So what exactly is NVIDIA Cosmos?
NVIDIA Cosmos introduced! So what does it do?
Developed by NVIDIA’s expert engineers, this software provides full integration with popular frameworks such as TensorRT, CUDA, as well as the Linux operating system, allowing users to start working within hours. Compatible with hardware and cloud environments, Cosmos is flexible and inclusive.
Cosmos World Foundation Models (WFMs), introduced at CES 2025, are designed for physics-based simulations and synthetic data generation. These models, which address different usage needs with Nano, Super and Ultra categories, can be applied in a wide range of fields from autonomous vehicles to robotic systems. In addition, Cosmos WFMs offer a great advantage to artificial intelligence researchers with the ability to produce high-resolution physics-based videos and realistic simulations.
Cosmos WFMs offer users flexibility with models ranging from 4 to 14 billion parameters. Thanks to the open model licence provided by NVIDIA, these models can be freely used for commercial use.
It opens new doors in areas such as autonomous vehicle development, robot navigation and industrial simulations. Companies such as Uber, Waabi and Fortellix have begun testing this innovative technology in their own projects.
In short, NVIDIA’s Cosmos platform provides a comprehensive infrastructure for deep learning and AI projects, giving researchers and developers speed and efficiency, and its open source models will shape the future of AI and physics-based simulations.
