As competition in the electric vehicle market intensifies, Chinese automotive giants are accelerating their expansions. Yesterday, BYD officially unveiled its latest compact electric SUV model. The new BYD Atto 2, known as Yuan Up in the Chinese market, is the company’s ninth vehicle in the European market. Here are the details on the BYD Atto 2’s price and features.
BYD Atto 2 Launched with a Starting Price of €31,990
The Atto series has played a key role in BYD’s expansion in Europe, and the new Atto 2 is emerging as a strong competitor in the B-segment SUV category. According to the company’s statements, the vehicle’s technology, design, and affordability are expected to be its main highlights.

BYD Atto 2 Features
Looking at the specifications of the Atto 2, it features BYD’s signature 45.12 kWh Blade Battery technology. Thanks to this battery, the vehicle offers:
- 312 km WLTP combined range
- 463 km city range
One of the criticized aspects of the vehicle is the lack of ultra-fast charging.
- The Atto 2 supports DC fast charging up to 65 kW.
- It can charge from 10% to 80% in 37 minutes.
On the performance side, the Atto 2 is equipped with:
- A 130 kW (174 hp) electric motor
- 290 Nm torque
- 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds

The Atto 2’s dimensions are as follows:

European prices start at €31,990, and the vehicle is available in two trims: Active and Boost.

With the launch of the Atto 2, BYD’s European lineup now includes:
- Atto 2, Sealion 7, Atto 3, Dolphin, Han, Seal, Seal U, Tang, and Seal U DM-i (PHEV)
