Continuing its rapid rise, Chinese automotive manufacturer BYD has made a remarkable move for the Turkish market. The company’s giant vehicle transport ship Changzhou set off from Ningbo Port in China and arrived at Safiport Port in Kocaeli Derince after a 39-day sea voyage.
BYD delivered 7 thousand new vehicles to Turkey
The 7 thousand new vehicles unloaded from the ship attracted the attention of both local people and press members. BYD aims to further increase its growth momentum in Turkey with this large shipment. BYD, the brand that increased its sales the most in the first three months of 2025, made this move to meet the demand in our country.

The company reached a market value of $ 162 billion in March, thus surpassing the total value of automotive giants such as Ford, Volkswagen and General Motors. The company, which has reached significant sales figures not only in Turkey but also in Europe, has further expanded its production and logistics operations with the rising demand.
On the other hand, it is noteworthy that BYD has been able to maintain its sales success despite the high tariffs imposed from China to Europe and the USA. In order to overcome these obstacles, the company, which produces in alternative regions such as India and Taiwan, has also accelerated its investments in Turkey.
An investment plan of 1 billion dollars will be realised for the giant production facility built in Manisa. These strategic steps are likely to further strengthen BYD’s position in the Turkish market. So what do you think about this issue?
