OpenAI announced last week that it has officially launched the ChatGPT Android app. The artificial intelligence application, which took its place in the Google Play Store, is available in four countries as of today. So when will it come to global?
How to Access ChatGPT on Android?
OpenAI has officially launched ChatGPT’s Android app in the United States, India, Bangladesh and Brazil. The app is not yet available in other countries. However, OpenAI said it will make it available in other countries in the coming weeks.
ChatGPT’s new app will offer an easy-to-use interface for artificial intelligence. Developed with Android’s design language, the app will run faster than the web interface. It will also integrate with other features of Android.
Through the app, you will be able to access GPT-3.5 or GPT-4 if you have a Plus subscription. However, there will be limitations such as slowdowns or connection interruptions depending on the density.
Currently, only the iOS app is officially available in worldwide. However, if you’re on Android and want to access ChatGPT via an app, you can use Reddit’s Poe app. This app provides a free interface to the GPT-3.5 language.
You can also try ChatGPT by connecting to one of these four countries with a VPN.
It is not clear why OpenAI is rolling out ChatGPT for Android in such a gradual manner. However, it may want to prevent the flood of traffic from users who want to test the new application.
