OpenAI is preparing to integrate Sora, its AI-powered video production tool, with its popular chatbot ChatGPT. In fact, the company’s management announced that Sora will be integrated into ChatGPT in the future. This development could allow AI-powered video production to reach a wider audience. So what will this integration offer users? Here are the details!
OpenAI plans to integrate Sora into ChatGPT
Rohan Sahai, one of OpenAI’s product managers, stated at an event on Discord that they are working to make Sora available within ChatGPT. However, he did not give a clear date for when this process will be completed.

For now, Sora is accessible through a standalone web application that was launched in December. Users can create cinematic videos of up to 20 seconds on this platform. However, OpenAI aims to bring Sora to a wider audience, not just professional content producers. The plan to merge with ChatGPT serves exactly this purpose.
The integration of Sora into ChatGPT could increase interest in ChatGPT’s premium memberships. With this integration, OpenAI may be planning to offer higher video production limits for paid plans. However, it is stated that the version in ChatGPT may not include the advanced features that Sora offers in its web app, such as detailed editing and video merging.
OpenAI is not only integrating Sora into ChatGPT, but is also working on a standalone mobile app. The company announced that it is looking for mobile software engineers for Sora. This means that Sora may soon be available on iOS and Android platforms.
