Google is preparing to introduce a new feature for its artificial intelligence assistant Gemini that will improve the user experience. This feature will enable the assistant to have more information about you and provide personalised responses. Here are the details…
Saved Info feature on the way for Google Gemini
Google is taking the user experience one step further by adding a new feature called ‘Saved Info’ to its AI-powered assistant Gemini. This feature, which has been available for a long time in ChatGPT developed by OpenAI, will allow users to save their personal preferences and important information about themselves, allowing the assistant to provide more accurate and personalised responses.

Saved Info allows users to store details such as language preferences, food habits, scheduling information or travel plans. For example, if a user indicates that they are vegetarian, Gemini will no longer suggest recipes that contain meat. Some users will also be able to record that they can only code in certain programming languages, and the assistant will make suggestions accordingly.
This feature eliminates the need for users to specify the same information again in every chat. Saved Info settings can be managed on the web application at gemini.google.com/saved-info. In the mobile application, this can be done from the top of the account menu. Here, users can add, edit or delete their preferences. Gemini can also be instructed to add information directly in the chat.
The feature, which is currently only available in English, is being rolled out gradually for users. It was previously available to Gemini Advanced users. Now it is also available to people with a free plan.
