The Passat Pro has a wheelbase 89 mm longer than the Passat Variant sold in Europe and its total length extends to 5006 mm. This extra space provides a more spacious cabin for those who prefer larger sedans.
The exterior styling is a bit similar to the European Passat, but the body panels and rear area have been redesigned. Volkswagen said the Passat Pro will be a sedan model that will appeal to the luxury segment.

Inside, the vehicle features a 10.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 15-inch touchscreen and an 11.6-inch passenger display. It will also have L2++ autonomous driving support. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a seven-speed automatic. It should be underlined that this engine produces 217 hp. A less powerful 158 hp 1.5-liter option will also be available.
Although pre-orders have already started in China, official pricing has not yet been announced.
