China will take a giant step in robotics by launching its first mega humanoid robot training center. The center will cover an area of 5,000 square meters and will be located in the Zhangjiang district of Shanghai.
China launches humanoid robot training center
The center will accelerate humanoid robot research and development processes by allowing robot developers to share large-scale data. The facility aims to create an ecosystem where more than 100 different types of robots are trained and data is collected for use in industrial, medical and agricultural fields.

During the training process, these robots perform different tasks every day and collect movement data through their sensors. This data contributes to the development of robot models so that they can perform more complex actions autonomously.
While the center is currently recording between 20,000 and 30,000 data per day in the testing phase, this number is expected to increase to 50,000 data entries per day when it reaches full capacity. By the end of the year, 10 million real robot data will be recorded. All this data collected will strengthen cooperation between robots.
By combining data from various robot manufacturers, a “general purpose embodied intelligence” model will be developed. This model will be able to direct robots from different manufacturers and ensure collective harmony between robots.
China’s work in the field of humanoid robots seems to be in line with the country’s broad vision in the field of artificial intelligence. So what do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
