China, which remains on the agenda, has once again made headlines with its new project centered around artificial intelligence technologies. Under the AI Plus initiative announced at the recent regular party congress, it has been decided to extensively use these technologies in all sectors operating in the country.
The initiative, expected to become active within the year 2024, is estimated to require a massive budget. While the project has generated great excitement in the country, its detailed content has not yet been fully disclosed. Here are all the details…
China will focus on artificial intelligence
In recent times, especially amidst tensions with the United States, China’s move is seen as an attempt to gain an advantage in competition. Prime Minister Li Qiang appeared quite confident during the presentation, and it is claimed that along with many R&D activities in the field of artificial intelligence, a fundamental solution will also be provided for the country’s shrinking economy.
Additionally, the Chinese government has stated that it will start building smart cities in the near future, digitize the service sector, and increase the technological capacity of government agencies. However, it remains a question mark for which military areas the government will utilize artificial intelligence.
We will have to wait and see whether these claims will come true. However, it can be said that the partial success of the Internet Plus project initiated by the country in 2020 has given the Chinese people hope for this project as well.
