Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun has risen to the top of China’s richest people list. Leaving NONGFU SPRING founder Zhong Shanshan, who has not left the top spot for a while, Lei Jun has a fortune of $44.6 billion, according to Forbes.

This change in China actually came with a sudden increase in Xiaomi’s stock value. In this context, Lei Jun’s fortune increased to $44.6 billion. Stating that he did not care about leadership, the CEO said that they would invest in technology and innovation.
Born in Hubei Province in 1969, Lei Jun joined the software company Kingsoft in 1992. He founded Xiaomi in 2010. Under Lei Jun’s strategic management, the company became a global technology giant. Xiaomi, which stands out especially with its price/performance balance, has recently even started producing cars.
Lei Jun has invested in more than 200 startups in the fields of internet services, hardware and e-commerce through his venture capital firm Shunwei Capital. In this context, he has strengthened his influence in China’s technology ecosystem.
ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming and NONGFU SPRING founder Zhong Shanshan are on the list of China’s richest people. It should be noted that Lei Jun is ranked 37th in the world.
On the other hand, Xiaomi has revealed its ambitious goal in the automotive sector. The company, which put the SU7 Ultra on sale and shared all its details, stated that it reached record sales in two hours. It also announced that the vehicle will come to Europe at MWC 2025.
