The list of Oppo models receiving the Android 14-based ColorOS 14 update is becoming clearer. The Oppo A18 model, classified as entry-level, stands out on the published list. The Oppo A18, which was released last year, came with 4 GB of RAM.
Other models set to receive the Android 14-based ColorOS 14 update include the Oppo A54 and A38. ColorOS 14, which shares similar features with OxygenOS 14 and Realme UI 5.0, will soon receive artificial intelligence support.
With ColorOS 14, the Enhanced Trinity Engine promises higher performance. ROM Vitalization is being prepared to provide significant convenience by compressing application and file data. According to the company’s claim, it saves up to 20 GB of storage on an average smartphone.
There are enhancements in privacy features with Picture Keeper. This feature allows additional permission to access specified photos and videos on Oppo smartphones. The Aquamorgraphic Coloring system now allows the status bar and screen content to select the most suitable color tones for the time of day.
The new Smart Touch allows selection of text, images, and videos from local and third-party applications. It collects selected content in the File Dock. File Dock serves as a clipboard to store selected content for later use.
Smart Touch enables synchronization of Oppo devices. For example, content saved on Oppo Pad can be used on your Oppo smartphone. Furthermore, Oppo has a tight integration with Snapchat, with a Snapchat widget added for quick access.
