Samsung continues its efforts in the foldable phone market. The South Korean brand is set to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 models in the coming months. Recent developments have revealed an interesting detail about the Z Flip 7 that may cause some confusion.
Which processor will the Galaxy Z Flip 7 use?
The common point in reports so far has been that the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 model would use Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chip. However, a recent tweet from a reliable source, PandaFlashPro, suggests that this might not be the case.

Sources claim that Samsung has been testing the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. If this rumor is true, the product may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of the Exynos 2500, which is a change from the initial expectations.
Previous reports indicate that the product will come with a dual-cell battery pack and offer a total capacity of 4,300 mAh.
For comparison, the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 are as follows:
- Main screen: 6.7 inches, 2640 x 1080 pixels, FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED, 425 ppi, 2600 nits, 120 Hz refresh rate
- Secondary screen: 3.4 inches, 748 x 720 pixels, Super AMOLED
- Main camera: 50 MP f/1.7 with OIS support, 12 MP ultra-wide camera f/2.2 with 123-degree field of view
- Front camera: 12 MP f/2.2
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (4nm)
- RAM: 12 GB
- Storage: 215 GB and 512 GB
- Battery: 4,000 mAh
- Charging: 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and power share
