Microsoft has introduced Copilot Vision, the new feature of its AI-powered assistant Copilot, for free in the Edge browser. This new system will be able to analyze the content open in the browser and interact with voice commands. Thus, Copilot Vision goes beyond traditional digital assistants and becomes an AI system that can understand what is happening on the screen.
Copilot Vision is now available
The new system allows users to get information or ask for directions via voice commands while navigating their screens. The user starts the system by clicking on the microphone icon and can request help according to the content on the screen.
For example, while reading a recipe, Copilot can list the ingredients or provide step-by-step guidance. Similarly, a job posting can be analyzed to provide personalized suggestions and interview preparations. However, Microsoft does not recommend editing sensitive documents such as resumes directly through AI.
The full system integration of the new feature is only available to paid Copilot Pro subscribers. These users can use Copilot Vision in Photoshop, video editing programs and games such as Minecraft in addition to the Edge browser.
On the other hand, Edge users will be able to experience the basic functions for free. Once activated, the feature is activated by clicking on the microphone icon, with an audible notification and a color change in the browser interface.
The system is disabled when the session is terminated or the browser is closed. So what do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
