According to industry insider DigiTimes, Taiwanese display manufacturer Novatek recently made an announcement that allegedly caught Apple’s attention. This technology, called TDDI OLED, combines the display’s touch sensor layer with the display driver into a single unit, enabling the production of smartphones that stand out for their slimness.

The device is expected to feature a 6.6-inch display with 120Hz ProMotion support. It will be powered by the Apple A19 chip, produced using the 3nm process, and is rumored to have a starting price of $1,299, making it the most expensive version in the series. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models, on the other hand, will be available at starting prices of $1,099 and $1,199, respectively.
Another standout feature of the smartphone will be its camera. Reports suggest that the device will feature a single 48 MP camera.
