Apple’s new sports headphones Powerbeats Pro 2 will be released in 2025
Powerbeats Pro 2 was actually announced by Apple last year. Now the device’s US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) documents have been released. These documents revealed that the headphones have model numbers A3157 and A3158, while the charging case has model number A3160. In November, Apple also filed documents with the Indian Bureau of Standards, confirming that the device will be available in the global market.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 previously attracted a lot of attention when MLB star Shohei Ohtani wore them in an Apple promotional video. The headphones will feature a thinner, vertical design. In addition, the new model will offer the following features:
- Heart rate monitoring: Compatible with iOS 18, this feature will allow users to easily track their health data.
- Active noise cancellation (ANC): It will minimize ambient noise.
- Spatial audio and adaptive audio: It will provide a more immersive listening experience.
- Fitness integration: The headphones will connect with sports equipment such as treadmills to track heart rate in real time.
Powerbeats Pro 2 will be available in four colors: orange, purple, black and beige. The charging case will be equipped with a USB-C port. Other improvements of the new model include:
- Better sound quality,
- Improved battery life,
- Increased compatibility with Android devices. The headphones will also support Apple’s “Find My Device” feature.
Apple has not yet made an official announcement regarding the release date of the Powerbeats Pro 2.
