What You Need to Know About HarmonyOS Next
In addition to the Mate 60 and X5 models, it has been stated that the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch tablet will also support HarmonyOS Next. This new operating system has generated significant interest as it is the first version fully developed by Huawei independently of Google.
HarmonyOS Next is entirely built from the ground up by Huawei, aiming to provide users with a much more secure experience. Chen Xinxin, General Manager of Huawei Industrial Solutions, mentioned that the official release of Next will be published in the last quarter of the year. With the start of the beta process, official steps for the update are being taken.
The Mate 70 series, expected to be unveiled this year, will likely be the first devices launched with HarmonyOS Next. Users of the Mate 60/X5 and MatePad Pro 13.2 will have the opportunity to experience the new operating system starting in October.
Huawei stated that over 10,000 applications will support Next, meeting 99.9% of user needs. The company’s mobile operating system has already begun to pose a threat to Android.
While HarmonyOS Next is expected to launch in China soon, it is still unknown when it will be available in the global market.
