Honor has started the countdown for its new budget-friendly 5G model Play 50 Plus. Sharing the key features of the device through a poster, the company managed to make users curious ahead of the launch on October 10.
Honor Play 50 Plus specs
According to the poster image, Honor Play 50 Plus will feature a design with thin bezels and a screen-embedded selfie camera. It’s likely to feature an LCD panel, with the fingerprint sensor physically incorporated into the side.
Honor has confirmed that the phone will have dual stereo speakers. On the back, there is a vertically aligned dual camera setup. It will house a 50 Megapixel main sensor. The phone seen in the poster is blue with wavy patterns and features a silver camera island. It should also be noted that the device will have a dual-tone design.
The Play 50 Plus will feature 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is unclear which chipset will power the smartphone, but it will support 5G connectivity. It will be powered by a 6000mAh battery with 35W fast charging support.
Although the full specifications have not yet been announced, Play 50 Plus seems to be an ambitious 5G phone in the mid-range market. The October 10 launch will likely reveal more details on performance, software and pricing.
The Play 50 Plus will be the new version of the Play 40, which was announced last year and powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset.
