In the early months of this year, OnePlus, which achieved significant sales figures with the introduction of OnePlus 11R, has now entered the final stages of development for its successor. Recent information suggests that users won’t have to wait much longer for the OnePlus 12R, as the smartphone recently crossed a significant milestone, indicating that the launch is imminent.
OnePlus 12R appeared in IMDA database
The OnePlus 12R has appeared in the IMDA database with the model number CPH2609. The listing confirms that the smartphone will come with 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity support, signaling that the launch is just around the corner.
Nithin Prasad, known for leaking information in the industry, revealed the key technical specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 12R model. According to him, the smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel will also have a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The chipset, built on a 4nm architecture, hosts 1x 3.36 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, and 3x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, along with an Adreno graphics unit.
On the back, a triple camera setup will be featured, including a 50-megapixel IMX890 main sensor with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto sensor. On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The OnePlus 12R will come with a 5,500mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging. The latest information suggests that the smartphone will be unveiled at the end of January.
