OnePlus’s flagship and performance-focused next-generation smartphones have been officially confirmed in a rather unexpected announcement. OnePlus China President Li Jie announced today on Weibo that the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 will be unveiled together in China tomorrow, October 17th.
OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 to be Unveiled Tomorrow!
However, due to the skepticism of Chinese media outlet CNMO and the unusually short nature of the announcement, the likelihood of an official release date for the devices rather than a full launch tomorrow is being emphasized. However, it’s impossible to rule out a definitive possibility.

The brand’s new flagship stands out with its performance and display technology. Its most notable feature is that it’s the first OnePlus phone to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This raises the bar in terms of raw power and AI performance.
The OnePlus 15 comes with an ultra-smooth 165Hz OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Chairman Li Jie previously explained why they chose 1.5K over the 2K panels favored by some competitors, citing efficiency as their primary decision. The camera setup is said to be impressive: a 50MP Sony LYT-700 main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with a Samsung JN5 sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
It will reportedly have a large 7,000mAh battery for long-term use and support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device’s color scheme is Sand Storm, as shown in the teaser image.
The new addition to OnePlus’s more affordable performance series appeals to a different audience. The Ace 6 is rumored to feature a 1.5K BOE OLED panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also expected to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor capable of recognizing even wet fingers.
The device will be powered by last year’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The most striking feature is that it will pack a 7,800mAh battery, even larger than its predecessors, and support for 120W fast charging. Other key features include a metal mid-frame, a potential IP68 water and dust resistance rating, and an out-of-the-box launch of Android 16-based ColorOS 16.
