Devialet has unveiled its most powerful compact speaker yet: the Phantom Ultimate, a high-end upgrade to the brand’s already iconic wireless audio line. Available now, this latest model blends brute acoustic force with refined design, promising up to 108dB of volume and bass down to a chest-thumping 14Hz.
Phantom Ultimate pushes limits in size and sound
Despite its modest footprint, the Phantom Ultimate delivers specs typically reserved for full-size systems. The top-tier model reaches a staggering 108dB, while the more affordable 98dB version still offers a full-range response from 18Hz to 25kHz. Both benefit from Devialet’s signature Heart Bass Implosion (HBI) technology, pushing low frequencies far below the threshold of human hearing—but not below what you can feel.
A redesigned chassis features dual side-firing woofers, while the midrange driver and tweeter now sit behind a precision-crafted speaker grille. High frequencies can be processed up to 35kHz, promising cleaner, more detailed highs.
Smart connectivity and stereo pairing options
The Phantom Ultimate is more than a sound cannon. Devialet has outfitted the speaker with WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and a six-band EQ through its companion app. It also supports:
- AirPlay
- Google Cast
- Spotify Connect
- Tidal Connect
- UPnP
- Roon integration
Owners can link two units for stereo playback or group multiple devices for a full multi-room audio setup.
On-device control is handled via four touch-sensitive buttons, though a separate remote will cost you an extra $199.
Phantom Ultimate price and options
The lineup comes in two output levels and several colorways:
- Phantom Ultimate 98dB: $1,900
- Available in Light Pearl or Deep Forest
- Phantom Ultimate 108dB: $3,800

For audiophiles who want more than loud
The Phantom Ultimate isn’t for casual listeners. It’s for those chasing room-filling sound, precise tuning, and a sculptural design that feels more like art than tech. With its mix of massive output, 14Hz bass, and smart wireless features, Devialet has created a speaker that doesn’t just play music—it commands space.
