Exciting information about DJI’s highly anticipated new drone model AIR 3S has leaked. Renowned sources OsitaLV and Igor Bogdanov posted a series of posts on the X platform, revealing new photos and some technical specifications of the DJI AIR 3S. Here’s what has been revealed about the innovative drone…
DJI AIR 3S drone comes with new sensor array and advanced dual camera system
One of the most striking features of the DJI AIR 3S is the new sensor array on the top and front. This array is expected to include components such as a ToF (time of flight) sensor and a LiDAR sensor. These sensors will allow the drone to better track targets and avoid obstacles.
The traditional compact foldable design continues on the AIR 3S, which stays true to DJI’s Air series. In leaked images, the drone retains the familiar aesthetics of its predecessors, with a gray body and black propellers. The “AIR 3S” label prominently displayed on the drone’s arm confirms the model’s name.
The dual camera system on the front of the drone is one of the most remarkable features. As seen from the photos, the lenses and sensors are larger in size. This shows a serious improvement in the drone’s imaging capabilities.
Other features of the AIR 3S include a Sony CMOS sensor (probably IMX320), 14 EV dynamic range, optimized dynamic range for sunset scenes, and a noise reduction function for improved image acquisition. It also features 13000×6500 pixel panoramic image stitching.
