NVIDIA Unveils Next-Gen RTX 5090 & RTX 5080 and Releases Driver Update for Existing RTX Users
Today, NVIDIA introduced its next-generation RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 graphics cards while also rolling out a driver update for current RTX users. With the new 572.16 GPU driver, users can now directly enable DLSS 4 in unsupported games or applications, improving visual quality and, in some cases, reducing VRAM usage. Here are the details…
NVIDIA Releases 572.16 Driver Update for RTX GPUs: DLSS 4 Can Now Be Enabled Directly!
This new driver update introduces an overlay feature that allows users to switch to NVIDIA’s new Transformer model, enhancing image quality in DLSS-supported games. Now, users no longer have to wait for game developers to release updates to take advantage of DLSS 4 technology.

Additionally, RTX 40 series GPU owners will experience a new frame generation model that is 40% faster and consumes 30% less VRAM than the previous version.
NVIDIA has also improved RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR), making it more efficient at upscaling old and blurry YouTube videos. The new version uses 30% less GPU resources at the highest quality settings and expands support to more RTX GPUs.
Furthermore, VSR can now enhance HDR videos. If a user is watching a low-resolution HDR video, the system will automatically improve its quality.
For existing RTX GPU users, this update introduces more efficient models, while new RTX 50 series owners will unlock DLSS Multi-Frame Generation, which goes beyond traditional frame generation by adding three extra frames to each rendered frame, significantly improving game smoothness.
The latest 572.16 driver is now available through the NVIDIA app or can be downloaded from the official website. Are you planning to try this update? Let us know your thoughts!
